Fort Myers Beach-Guided Beach Walk

Guided Beach Walks

Free guided beach walks at San Carlos Bay Bunche Beach Preserve are at 9 a.m. each Wednesday and will continue through the end of April 2022. Visitors can enjoy this volunteer led program and learn the basics of different beach ecosystems, types of shells, and more.  There is no cost associated with this program and there is no registration to participate. Persons of all ages are welcome to attend these events.

The 718-acre property is an “Old Florida” natural tidal wetland that ranges from a sandy beach to mangrove forests to salt flats and wildlife. Parking is $2 an hour and the meeting point for the walks will be the southernmost end of John Morris Road in the parking lot.
